About the Chocolate Cake Squishy
The Chocolate Cake Squishy is a wide, flat slice of slow-rise foam printed like a chocolate cake with sprinkles pressed into the frosting, about 21 x 12 x 6 cm, sold in the dark tray it sits in. The tray flexes and squeezes with the cake; it is part of the product, not a box.
In the hand
Press the slab with the whole hand: the top dips, the sides bulge, the tray bends, then the foam rises back over ten to fifteen seconds. The crackled shell gives its light crunch on the frosted face. It is the broadest squeeze in the shop, more like pressing a cushion than bending a stick.
Design and details
The dark frosting, the sprinkles and the layered edge are printed and molded into the foam. At this size and in this color it looks like a real slice on a desk, which is the point and the warning at once: never edible. Keep it out of direct sun and away from heat, which softens foam over time.
