This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and similar technologies butter-squishy.com uses, what they do, and how you can control them. It completes our Privacy Policy. In short: the store needs a few cookies to keep your cart together and to remember your choices, it uses Google Analytics to understand how the shop is used, it loads a Google Ads tag that sets advertising cookies, and a Brevo cookie is set only if you choose Accept on the cookie notice. We have never sold personal information for money and we do not sell it, but the Google Ads tag can amount to a “share” for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law, and the Necessary only button on the cookie notice is how you opt out of it.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file stored by your browser when you visit a website. It lets the site recognize your browser from one page to the next, for example to keep items in your cart, and, for some cookies, to measure how the site is used. Cookies set by the site you are visiting are called first-party cookies; cookies set by another company’s service are third-party cookies.

Analytics cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) to understand how the shop is used: pages and products viewed, items added to the cart and purchases. It sends nine e-commerce events: view_item_list, view_item, select_content, add_to_cart, remove_from_cart, begin_checkout, add_shipping_info, add_payment_info and purchase. Google does not log or store your IP address in Google Analytics 4, and we keep Google Signals switched off. Since September 3, 2026 the Analytics property is linked to our Google Ads account, so analytics data can be used to measure and improve our advertising. We do not sell this data for money.

Advertising cookies
We advertise on Google. A Google Ads tag is loaded on every page of the site so we can measure which ads lead to an order. It sends measurement hits to Google (pagead2.googlesyndication.com) and sets _gcl_* cookies that link your visit, and later your order, to the ad you clicked. Enhanced conversions are also switched on: when you place an order, customer details including your email address are hashed before being sent to Google so that the order can be matched to an ad click. Google can use this data for cross-context behavioral advertising, which California law calls a “share”. We receive no money for it. Choosing Necessary only on the cookie notice stops it: Google’s tags are then told to deny advertising storage, ad user data and ad personalization.

Cookies set only after you choose Accept
Order and shipping emails are delivered through Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France). If you choose Accept on the cookie notice, Brevo also sets a cookie that lets us recognize your visit and, if you leave items in your cart after entering your email at checkout, send you a reminder. Choosing Necessary only keeps this cookie off.

How the cookie notice works
The notice shown on your first visit offers two choices. Accept allows the analytics, advertising and Brevo cookies described above. Necessary only keeps them off: it sends Google a consent signal denying analytics storage, advertising storage, ad user data and ad personalization, and it leaves the Brevo cookie unset, so only the necessary cookies remain. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics and advertising cookies are not set until you choose Accept. In the United States and everywhere else, they are allowed by default: analytics and advertising run from your first page view unless you choose Necessary only. Your choice is stored for one year in the bs_cookie_notice cookie and applied again on every page you open.
How to change your choice or block cookies

This link clears your stored choice and reopens the cookie notice on the page you are viewing, so you can switch to Necessary only and stop the advertising cookies described above. Your browser can also send a Global Privacy Control signal. When it does, we honor it automatically as a Necessary only choice on every page, until you make an explicit choice on the notice yourself.
- To see the notice again and change your choice, delete the
bs_cookie_noticecookie for butter-squishy.com in your browser settings, or clear all cookies for the site, then reload any page. The notice reappears and the choice you make replaces the previous one. - Your choice is stored in your browser, so it applies to that browser and device only. Make it again on each browser and device you use.
- Every browser lets you block or delete cookies, for all sites or for this one. Blocking necessary cookies will prevent the cart and checkout from working.
- Google offers a browser add-on that blocks Google Analytics on every site: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- Google lets you review and turn off personalized advertising for your Google account and browser at myadcenter.google.com.
Changes to this policy
If we add or remove cookies, we update this page and its “Last updated” date. If a change requires a new choice from you, the cookie notice is shown again.
