Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 6, 2026
This policy explains what personal information Butter Squishy collects when you visit butter-squishy.com or place an order, how we use it, whom we share it with, and the choices you have. In short: we collect what is needed to process and deliver your order and to answer you, we have never sold your personal information for money and we do not sell it, we use Google Analytics and Google Ads in a way that California law can treat as “sharing” it for advertising and that you can opt out of with the Necessary only button on the cookie notice, and you can ask us at any time what we hold about you.
What information do we collect?
- Order information: name, email address, shipping address, billing address, phone number if you provide one, and payment confirmation details needed to process and deliver your order. Card numbers are handled by our payment providers and never stored on our servers.
- Messages: anything you send us by email or voicemail, such as your name, contact details and the content of your message.
- Technical information: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and referring site, collected automatically by our server logs when you browse the site.
Which cookies does the site use?
butter-squishy.com sets cookies that are necessary for the store to work: they keep your cart together, keep you signed in during checkout, and remember your choice on the cookie notice.
The site also uses Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) to understand how the shop is used: pages and products viewed, items added to the cart and purchases. Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_*, which last up to two years. Google does not log or store your IP address in Google Analytics 4, and we keep Google Signals switched off. Since September 3, 2026 the Analytics property is linked to our Google Ads account, so analytics data can be used to measure and improve our advertising.
The site also loads a Google Ads tag on every page so we can measure which ads lead to an order. It sends measurement hits to Google and sets _gcl_* advertising cookies that link your visit, and later your order, to the ad you clicked. Enhanced conversions are switched on: when you place an order, customer details including your email address are hashed before being sent to Google so that the order can be matched to an ad click.
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics and advertising cookies are set only after you choose Accept on the cookie notice. In the United States and everywhere else, they are allowed by default and run from your first page view unless you choose Necessary only, which sends Google a consent signal denying analytics storage, advertising storage, ad user data and ad personalization. To change your choice later, delete the bs_cookie_notice cookie for this site in your browser settings and reload any page: the notice appears again. Google also offers a browser add-on that blocks Google Analytics on every site: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
The full list of cookies, with their purpose and duration, is on the Cookie Policy page.
Order and shipping emails are delivered through Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France), and our order records are synchronized with Brevo so we can send those messages and answer your requests. If you choose Accept on the cookie notice, Brevo also sets a cookie (sib_cuid) that lets us recognize your visit and, if you leave items in your cart after entering your email at checkout, send you a reminder; choosing Necessary only keeps this off. WooCommerce also stores first-party cookies (sbjs_*) that record which site or search brought you to us, so an order can be attributed to its source; they are never shared.
How do we use your information?
- To process, ship and track your orders and to send order and shipping confirmations, which are operational messages sent for every order.
- To answer questions and handle returns, refunds and claims.
- To keep the site secure, prevent fraud and comply with tax and accounting obligations.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it, through aggregated analytics.
We do not send marketing emails unless you ask for them, and we have never sold your personal information for money. We do run Google Analytics and a Google Ads tag as described above, which California law can treat as “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising; the Necessary only button on the cookie notice is how you opt out of it.
Whom do we share it with?
Only with the service providers needed to run the store: our payment providers, the carriers who deliver your order, our suppliers where needed to fulfill it, the companies that host and operate butter-squishy.com, Google LLC for the analytics and advertising services described above, and Brevo (Sendinblue SAS) for email delivery and the optional cart reminders described above. Each provider receives only the information required to perform its service. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
How long do we keep it?
We keep order records for as long as needed to fulfill orders, handle returns and disputes, and meet tax and accounting obligations, then delete or anonymize them. Messages are kept for as long as needed to handle your request.
Your privacy rights
If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA, gives you the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We have never sold personal information for money and we do not sell it. We do run Google Analytics and a Google Ads tag, which pass online identifiers and, when you order, hashed customer details such as your email address to Google, and Google can use them for cross-context behavioral advertising. California law calls that a “share”, so you have the right to opt out of it.
To opt out, choose Necessary only on the cookie notice. That choice is recorded for one year in the bs_cookie_notice cookie and replayed on every page you open: Google’s tags are told to deny advertising storage, ad user data, ad personalization and analytics storage, so no advertising or analytics cookies are set or read and your data is not used to personalize ads. If you have already made a choice and want to change it, delete the bs_cookie_notice cookie for butter-squishy.com in your browser settings and reload any page; the notice appears again. The choice is stored in your browser, so make it on each browser and device you use. The rights to access, correct and delete apply in full. Residents of other US states with privacy laws have similar rights.
Wherever you live, you can ask us at any time what information we hold about you, or ask that it be corrected or deleted. Email contact@butter-squishy.com with your request; we respond within the time required by law and never charge for it. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.
Security
Connections to butter-squishy.com are encrypted (HTTPS). Payments are processed by providers that hold industry security certifications, and we do not store card numbers. No system is perfectly secure, so please contact us if you believe your data has been compromised.

Purchases on butter-squishy.com are for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
